Representatives of Scientific Group “Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Comorbidity” of MU-Varna were on a working visit to Italy within the project “Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)”.
At the invitation of leading specialists in the field of sleep apnea, the team of MU–Varna visited the University Clinic Campus bio-medico of Rome in the Trigoria region near Rome and the University of Foggia in Southern Italy. The purpose of the working visits, which took place from 16 to 20 October 2023, was to acquaint the participants with the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnea in Italy, the local experience in completing documentation of patients diagnosed with the disease, treatment protocols, etc.
The scientific team of MU-Varna presented the poster “Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Comorbidity and Quality of Life”, authored by M. Minkov, M. Stoykov, S. Baycheva, Z. Terzieva.
The visit was implemented under project № BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 “Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)”, within Scientific Group 3.2.2 “Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and Comorbidity”. The project is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria under procedure BG-RRP-2.004 – Establishment of a network of research higher education institutions.
