Приемам | Разбери повечеOn May 20, 2026 (wednesday) at 1:30 pm, a public lecture titled “Seeing the Warning Signs: Early Detection and Care Escalation in Nursing Practice” will be held in the First Auditorium of MU-Varna.
The lecture will be delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuran Ayşen Pamir Aksoy, a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Nursing at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Istanbul, Turkey. She specializes in the field of surgical nursing care, perioperative safety, and clinical quality management. She successfully completed her PhD at Bahçeşehir University, Turkey. Her research and scientific works are internationally indexed and accessible in global academic databases.
Her research focuses on patient safety during the perioperative period. Her scientific interests are centered on how nursing surveillance, clinical judgment, and objective patient data can be integrated to improve timely decision-making and patient outcomes. Her work examines frequently underestimated risk factors in surgical care and aims to strengthen preventive strategies in nursing practice.
The lecture will present the role of nurses in recognizing early signs of patient deterioration, integrating bedside assessment with core clinical data, and taking timely action in patient care.
The event is organised under the project “MU-Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)", under contract No. BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02. The project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria under procedure No. BG-RRP-2.004 “Establishment of a Network of Research Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria".
