On 28 July 2023, a specialised training was conducted on: “Specifics of Nutrition Assessment Tools in Early Childhood”. The event was organised by Medical University–Varna, in partnership with Karin Dom Foundation and with the participation of NutriLect Scientific Group. The training is a part of the recently launched large-scale strategic research and innovation project of MU–Varna “Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)”.  The programme of the forum, which is funded by the European Union, aims to support the expansion of the capacity of higher education institutions towards increasing competences in research work. 

The training was attended by more than 40 physicians, speech therapists, students and psychologists from different countries. They enriched their knowledge and expertise in the field of early childhood nutrition assessment tools and the challenges of their application in children. The keynote lecturer of the event was Dr. Nikoleta Yoncheva, an established specialist in the field and speech therapist at Karin Dom Foundation. She introduced the participants to her experience in current methods and practices in the assessment of dysphagia and nutrition in children.
