The training was organised by the NutriLect Scientific Group under project № BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 “Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)”. The event was attended by 40 healthcare professionals. Physicians, speech therapists, nurses, psychologists and students from different specialties of Medical University–Varna assembled to share knowledge and skills during the training.
The keynote lecturer was Prof. Sevdzhihan Eyubova, clinical psychologist. She presented numerous child development assessment tools and action algorithms, providing a basis for practical work for the participants.
The training was divided into three modules, each covering key facets of psychodiagnostics. The participants were introduced to the DP-3 psychodiagnostic tool and learned how to apply it in the context of their work with children and their parents. Prof. Eyubova then presented the specific assessment areas of autism using the CARS-2 ST and CARS-2 HF scales for determining the severity of autism in children.
The last module focused on the adaptation of child development assessment tools for research purposes, providing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for their further professional practice and research work.
The event ended with questions and discussions that once again highlighted the importance of continuing education and collegial exchange of insights in this key area of health and education.
