A team from the Department of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Sea Therapy at Medical University–Varna took part in the 18th Congress of the European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation (EFRR), which took place in Budapest from 27th to 31st August 2025. The Congress was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evgeniya Vladeva, PhD – Head of the Department of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Sea Therapy and the Clinic of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at UMHAT “St. Marina”–Varna,  and leader of an innovative project 3.4.10 “Innovative Solutions from Physical Medicine to Enhance Transdermal Resorption of Boswellia Serrata Extract” under project No. BG-RRP-2.0040009-C02 (MUVE-TEAM), Dr. Liliya Panayotova-Ovcharova – Head of an innovative project 3.4.15 “Modern Strategies for Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) Disease Management and Therapy” under project No. BG-RRP-2.0040009-C02 (MUVE-TEAM) and Dr. Detelina Nedyalkova-Petkova.

During the prestigious scientific forum, the specialists presented the outcomes of their scientific developments at the Department of Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation and Sea Therapy of MU-Varna and exchanged expertise on innovative approaches and good practices in the field of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. The participation of the Varna team was welcomed with a keen interest by the international scientific community and contributed to the promotion and recognition of the Department and modern methods in Rehabilitation Medicine.

“Our mission is to harmonize the most advanced technologies and scientific achievements with traditionally established methods and an individual approach to each patient,” emphasised Assoc. Prof.  Vladeva. Through their participation at the Congress, the experts from UMHAT “St. Marina”–Varna and MU–Varna demonstrated their aspiration for active international cooperation and exchange of expertise within the European scientific community.
