An International Scientific Conference on Exploring the Intersection of Nutrition, Child Development and Neurodiversity, organised by MU-Varna will be held from 25 to 27 October at Golden Tulip Hotel in Varna. The International Forum was initiated by Scientific Group “Nutrition and Neurosciences" (NutriLect) under the MU-Varna project “Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)". Prominent scientists from Bulgaria, Belgium, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Romania, Croatia, Canada and the USA participated in the event.

The Forum hosted sessions on “Nutritional Screening and Strategies for Neuro-diverse Children", “Early Childhood Nutrition and Neurological Development Outcomes", “Innovative Therapeutic Approaches to Nutrition", “Communication and Eating Disorders: Integrating Logopaedia", “Role of Organisations in Supporting Neurodiversity and Nutrition", “Future Directions and Interdisciplinary Collaboration".

The topics were  also spotlight the role of organisations in supporting neurodiversity and nutrition, quality of life and stigma in neuro-diverse conditions, latest research and future directions in childhood nutrition. Various case studies and psychological and social facets of nutrition in neuro-diverse populations will be on the agenda.

A roundtable discussion on "Interdisciplinary Approaches to Nutrition and Challenges in Neurodevelopment" and poster presentations were organised for the conference participants.
