Students and lecturers from the Departments of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Paediatrics, and Physiology and Pathophysiology at Medical University–Varna actively participated at the Congress of the European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, held in Milan from 15th to 18th May 2024.

Six posters and one presentation in the field of nutritional challenges in children with cerebral palsy and autism were successfully presented at the Congress within the framework of Scientific group 3.1.3.  Nutrition and Neurosciences – NutriLect under the project "Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM) BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02, and the growth of atopic children, which aroused high interest among the participants and experts in the field. Moreover, our medical students won four travel grants, which is a recognition of their efforts and the value of their work on the development of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Nutrition.

The participation of our representatives at this prestigious Congress is yet another proof of the high level of education and research that Medical University–Varna can boast.
