Seminar on Biomedical Engineering, organised by Medical University–Varna, under the project No BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM), funded by the European Union–NextGenerationEU, was held at the end of June.

During the event eminent scientists from Japan and Poland delivered lectures on the importance of biomedical engineering in general and dental medicine, and on advanced materials and technologies used in implant manufacturing. The preliminary agenda included a meeting of the guest lecturers with the management of MU-Varna, a demonstration and a roundtable discussion on the application of modern CAD systems for manufacturing customised implants and virtual models for surgical interventions in general and dental medicine.

Guest lecturers at the event were Prof. Masaki Hashida and Prof. Sergei Kulinich from the Research Institute of Science and Technology at Tokai University (Japan), Prof. Leszek Dobrzański and Dr. Eng. Lech B. Dobrzański from the Asclepios Medical-Dental Engineering Centre in Gliwice (Poland), and Prof. Anna Dobrzanska-Danikiewicz from the University of Zielona Góra (Poland).
